5,6 kWp Rooftop PV, 15 kWh Battery, On Grid Microgrid Automation & Remote Monitoring

In our efforts to consistently contribute to the country, Syntek with NZMATES built a microgrid laboratory at Pattimura University (UNPATTI) Maluku.

This laboratory is designed to be used as an experimental facility for the UNPATTI academic community. This on-grid microgrid consists of an on-grid PLTS system, Lithium-ion Battery Backup, Grid Integration, and Remote SCADA. The UNPATTI academic community can access the system through a sophisticated and integrated SCADA in monitoring and controlling every piece of equipment.

The technology used is SMA Sunny Boy on-grid PV inverter, SMA Sunny Island Battery Inverter, BYD Lithium-ion Battery, Advise SCADA. With a PLTS capacity of 5.6 kWp and a battery of 15 kWh, this first on-grid microgrid laboratory in Eastern Indonesia allows the nation’s children in the East to participate in studying the behavior of the microgrid system.
