Syntek Energy & Control Completes Flowmeter Installation and Monitoring System Project at Tomasa Mini Hydro Power Plant

Syntek Energy & Control has successfully completed the Flowmeter Installation and Monitoring System Project for Tomasa Mini Hydro Power Plant, located in Tomasa, Poso, Central Sulawesi. The project was completed on January 22, 2026, as part of Syntek’s commitment to delivering reliable instrumentation, control, and monitoring solutions for renewable energy power plants.

The project scope included the installation of a flowmeter on the penstock pipeline to measure the water discharge flowing toward the turbine. The measured data was then integrated into the existing SCADA system and a web-based remote monitoring system, enabling the customer to monitor key power plant parameters more accurately, quickly, and comprehensively.

Through this implementation, the customer is now able to access real-time water discharge data and monitor operational conditions remotely. The flowmeter plays a critical role in providing accurate water flow measurement, while the integrated monitoring system allows continuous supervision of discharge, volume, and water level conditions across each stage of the hydropower process, from the dam gate to the headtank.

The successful completion of this project reflects Syntek’s capability in delivering integrated instrumentation and monitoring systems that support the operational reliability of mini hydro power plants. With a remote-access monitoring system, the supervision process at Tomasa Mini Hydro Power Plant becomes more effective, responsive, and data-driven, supporting more accurate operational decision-making.
