SCADA & RTU Integration for Power Distribution Network in Western Flores

Syntek Energy & Control has contributed to the integration of the SCADA system across substations (Gardu Induk/GI) and switching stations (Gardu Hubung/GH) in Western Flores, supporting the enhancement of monitoring and control capabilities within the power distribution network operated by PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Flores Barat.

Integrated SCADA & RTU Implementation

As part of this project, Syntek was responsible for supplying and integrating Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) to establish communication between field equipment and the centralized SCADA system. The integration covers 11 locations across Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, enabling the acquisition and transmission of equipment status, control commands, and operational data from multiple substations and switching stations.

The integrated system provides a communication link between field-level equipment and the Master SCADA, allowing operational information from geographically distributed locations to be accessed through a centralized monitoring platform.

Enhancing Real-Time Monitoring & Remote Control

Through the SCADA and RTU integration, operational data from the 11 locations can be monitored centrally and in real time. This enables operators to obtain information on equipment conditions, monitor network status, and execute control commands through the centralized system.

The implementation improves operational visibility across the distribution network, supports faster access to field information, and enables more responsive operational decision-making. By reducing reliance on manual field monitoring, the system also supports more efficient network supervision and control.

Strengthening Syntek’s Control & Automation Capabilities

This project demonstrates Syntek Energy & Control’s capabilities in SCADA integration, RTU implementation, and power distribution automation across geographically distributed electrical infrastructure.

Through integrated monitoring and control solutions, Syntek continues to support the digitalization of power distribution networks, helping improve operational efficiency, system visibility, and the reliability of electricity infrastructure in Indonesia.
