Project Description

Syntek Energy & Control contributed to the Bali VPP SCADA Proof of Concept (PoC) project by delivering an IoT-based SCADA system designed to support the integration of community-scale solar PV (PLTS) with the PLN grid in Bali.

As part of the Virtual Power Plant (VPP) initiative, the system is engineered to enable advanced grid functionalities, including power smoothing, load shifting, and the regulation of active and reactive power by both system operators and PLN’s Distribution Control Center (DCC). Furthermore, the SCADA platform facilitates cross-site energy management, allowing surplus solar energy generated at one location to be distributed and stored in battery systems at other sites through an integrated control architecture.

Syntek’s SCADA solution incorporates robust industrial communication protocols such as IEC-104, Modbus, and HTTPS, ensuring reliable and secure data exchange. The system is equipped with comprehensive features including real-time monitoring, remote control, data aggregation, and web-based visualization, all of which are essential for enabling intelligent and flexible multi-site operations.

This achievement reflects Syntek’s ongoing commitment to advancing energy automation and digitalization, contributing to the development of a smarter, more efficient, and sustainable power system aligned with contemporary energy transition frameworks.
