Riau Hybrid PV Plant Control System

The intermittency characteristic of a PV plant production always poses a challenge for implementation in remote area where the power grid is relatively weak due to a number of small generators. One of the way to increase renewable energy penetration is by implementing a hybrid PV-battery system. Syntek supplied a PLC control panel to switch inverter operation from off-grid to on-grid (exporting power to grid) in a scheduled manner together with inverters from Surya Energi Indotama. The systems were deployed in Lemang and Teluk Samak, Meranti Islands, Riau province.
